London Marathon Countdown - Less than 1 week to go!
It’s just one week to go until the London Marathon.
As part of your tapering regime, hopefully you have done or you are about to do about a quarter of a marathon distance.
Here are a few top tips, for the week to come.
1. Keep your routine stable
Keep your diet, sleep and training routine stable, whilst significantly tapering your training in the last week.
Maintain your stretching regime and lower intensity strength and core exercises.
Don’t start any new forms of exercise.
2. Relax and train your mind
Relaxation and positive psychology techniques can improve long distance running performance.
Replace some of the time that you have been spending running, with training your mind and relaxation.
