Meet The Team
The ALO Physiotherapy Clinic
ALO Physiotherapy is a clinic founded by leading London Physiotherapist André de Oliveira in 2000. Since its establishment André and his team have endeavoured to maintain their reputation for providing truly individualised patient care with superior levels of customer service. The majority of patients and clients are referred to the clinic by doctors, surgeons and consultants that are confident their patients will receive the very best care.
We believe that our physiotherapy sessions should be an experience that you can enjoy and not only a set of exercises to do and take home. We are very passionate about our work and we will endeavour to use our full capabilities to ensure that you return to full function and with less pain.
We use a hands on approach to physiotherapy combined with Electrical Therapies and Rehabilitation. We work as a catalyst to your fast recovery and we agree with the popular adagio: If you think you can or if you think you can not, you are probably right. We present our patients with realistic goals and will create a plan with you to achieve these; we call this the Physio Plan of Care.
We are forward thinking in our approach to physiotherapy and to deny the power and evidence based on the Electrical Therapies such as (Tecar Therapy , Vibration Therapy, Laser) combined with the expertise of hands on physio and a specific rehabilitation programme, is to deny a fast recovery. We integrate the natural healing process of an injury with a positive interference and expertise to maximise recovery. How we do this? Our team of physio experts understands the process of healing and when and how to intervene with the correct approach, to aid a swift return to good health

READ INFORMATION
André is a chartered physiotherapist and founder, and director of ALO Physiotherapy Clinic of Harley Street. Andre thrives on the strong belief that as the history of our lives becomes our biology, treating any condition holistically is the way forward for effective rehabilitation. He has extensive knowledge and experience with the rehabilitation process, and a particularly keen interest in sport, and sports injuries alike, treating many professional sportsmen and women over the years.
André is originally from Brazil where he first found his passion in sport and obtained his first degree in Sport Science. His drive for achievement and knowledge then led him to secure an honours degree in Physiotherapy at the University of East London (UEL) in 1998. Andre has worked at many leading London hospitals, including the Royal London Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital where he obtained extensive clinical experience in the areas of orthopaedics, elderly care, sports injuries, and post-surgical care.
Andre prides himself on staying up to date in the latest advancements of his field being one of the first clinics in the UK to begin using TECAR Therapy Technology in the early 2000s, a popular and prevalent healing technology across Europe. André’s passion for furthering advancements within physiotherapy does not stop there, he has also founded Little Nudge (a software that reminds people when to take breaks, performing quick and simple exercises) which has been implemented at a large medical insurance company. He is also becoming increasingly involved with the physiotherapy regulatory bodies and has led many seminars imparting his knowledge to the younger generations of graduates, and aspiring physiotherapists.
Today, Andre has begun delving into Mens Health Physiotherapy attending training events in France, Spain, and Italy. His newfound passion in Mens Health stems from Andres own personal journey with chronic pelvic pain syndrome. Looking for a solution, Andre soon found the benefits of Mens Health physiotherapy, undergoing Shockwave Treatment with Urologist, Dr Fabio Castiglione. It was this turning point in Andres condition which led to the intense study of Mens Health Physiotherapy in a bid to raise awareness of Mens Health treatments.
